Gratifying Goat Stew

Goat meat has all the benefits you get from lamb, beef and game. It has a unique powerful goaty aroma and this makes it well suited for strong flavours from herbs and spices especially curry and cumin,

Just the way nature intended


  • 500 grams goat meat cut into small/medium pieces

  • 1 tomato sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic crushed

  • 1 onion diced

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

  • Salt to taste

  • 4 carrots chopped

  • 250 grams broccoli

  • A few leaves spring greens finely chopped

  • 3 cups of broth/ stock


  • Heat oil in a pot over medium heat

  • Fry goat meat until brown

  • Add onion, garlic, tomato and fry for 5 minutes

  • Add stock, turmeric, back pepper, keep stirring and bring to boil

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 60 mins

  • Add broccoli, carrots, spring greens and salt and cook for 5 minutes

Enjoy and serve on a bed of cauliflower rice, courgetti, butternut noodles or any low index carbohydrate if releasing excess weight is your goal. Remember to
