Grilled Sea Bream


Fish has always been part of our ancestral diet in nature. Fish is full of omega 3 fatty acids, protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, potassium and vitamins B2 and D. If you have not tried fish maybe have a go with this nutritious and delicious sea bream recipe.

INGREDIENTS (2 servings)


  • 2 whole sea breams

  • 2 large tomato diced (seeds and skin removed)

  • 1 medium onion diced

  • 2 cloves garlic diced

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 4 Tablespoons Oil(butter, ghee, coconut oil, lard)

  • 1 hot chilli pepper (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper


METHOD


  • Preheat oven 180 degrees (fan) Gas mark 4

  • Clean fish, dry with paper towel and add salt and pepper to taste

  • Place fish in an oven tray and a tablespoon of butter

  • Place tray in a preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking

  • While fish is in the oven on medium heat melt 3 Tablespoons butter in a pan

  • Add onions and stir for 5 minutes

  • Add garlic and stir for 3 minutes

  • Add the tomatoes, cayenne and hot chilli peppers stirring frequently

  • Reduce to low heat and simmer for 5 minutes

  • Pour over the fish evenly and let it soak, and let all ingredients mix for 15 minutes in the oven

  • Voila! Serve the dish with vegetables of your choice make them low carbohydrates to avoid the insulin roller coaster which is a precursor to obesity and inflammation.
