Slow Cooked Lamb


Delicious lamb accompanied by simple ingredients from nature. Good for the gut and brain

Just the way nature intended


INGREDIENTS


  • 2 lamb shanks

  • 1 cup fresh peas

  • 2 potatoes

  • 1 large tomato sliced

  • 1 onion diced

  • 2 cloves garlic crushed

  • 1 teaspoon mint

  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee

  • Salt & pepper to taste


METHOD


  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Gas mark 6

  • In casserole dish spread vegetables evenly

  • Place lamb on top of vegetables

  • Add all herbs, spices and butter

  • Cover with a lid

  • Place dish in oven

  • Reduce heat to minimum and slow cook for 6 hours

  • Rest for 10 minutes

  • Serve and enjoy
