Tempting Brisket with Spring Greens

Another beef recipe to keep you full and well satiated for those taming the insulin monster to release weight. Simple ingredients from nature, no preservatives, no additives

Just The Way Nature Intended

INGREDIENTS (serves 4)

  • 500 grams brisket cut into medium sizes

  • I large tomato diced (seeds and skin removed)

  • 1 onion diced

  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)

  • 1 scotch bonnet (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil (tallow, butter, ghee, coconut oil, palm oil)

  • 250 grams spring greens

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 1 cup broth/ stock/water


  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium hot

  • Fry brisket pieces till nicely browned

  • Blend tomato , garlic, scotch bonnet, onion and pour mixture into pot

  • Stir and cook for 5 minutes

  • Add broth, salt and pepper

  • Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for half an hour

  • Add spring greens and mix them in by stirring

  • Simmer for 3 minutes for greens to stay green

  • Serve with any low carbohydrate of your choice

  • Any left overs can keep in fridge for 2-3 days

  • Suitable for freezing
