PREP 2 minutes Cooking Time 5-10minutes
INGREDIENTS:
* 2 apples per person * 1 teaspoon of oil per apple(butter, ghee, coconut, avocado etc but avoid using vegetable oils * Ground Cinnamon Extra * Any other spices you might like e.g nutmeg, black pepper, all spices, * Cashew or almond nuts * Yoghurt
METHOD:
* Preheat a frying pan/pot on low heat then add oil per apple-in my case I used 2 teaspoons of ghee
* Dice or slice apples removing seeds. The apple skin can be removed if you donot like it. I love apple skin for roughage so I always leave it on. The skin also adds a beautiful colour to the meal and a lovely texture
* Increase heat to medium
* Add apples to frying pan along with the cinnamon(and/or with other spices and mix
* Simmer for 5-10minutes (depending on thickness of apple cubes/slices) mixing/turning the apples occassionally
TO SERVE:
* Pour into a suitable bowl or plate
* Add extras such as nuts or yoghurt
* Sit down and enjoy this warm hearty breakfast
