Chicken & Vegetable Stew


Yet another delicious recipe with ingredients from nature. Food in its natural form, real food meant for human beings.

Just the way nature intended


INGREDIENTS (serves 2)


  • 4 chicken pieces

  • 2 carrots chopped

  • 1 onion diced

  • 1 large tomato diced (seeds and skin removed)

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 2 celery sticks chopped

  • 150 grams cabbage shredded

  • 2 Tablespoons cooking oil (Tallow, lard, coconut oil, duck oil, butter, ghee)

  • Hot Chilli (optional)

  • 1/2 cup bone broth


METHOD


  • Marinate chicken pieces

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees (gas mark 6)

  • Grill chicken for half an hour turning half way and make sure its well cooked through

  • In a pan heat oil over medium heat

  • Fry onions till translucent

  • Add tomatoes and keep stirring for 5 minutes

  • Add bone broth carrots celery and simmer for 5 minutes

  • Add grilled chicken and cabbage mix thoroughly and simmer for another 5 minutes

  • Add hot chilli, salt and pepper to taste

  • Stew is ready to serve with a carbohydrate of your choice. Those looking to release weight and inflammation, I served mine with cauliflower as my main source of carbohydrate. Cauliflower is a low carbohydrate and does not raise your glucose levels to trigger high insulin a building and storage hormone which is responsible for obesity, diabetes and inflammation.
